Gympak, a Helsingborg-based company dedicated to promoting physical activity through innovative products and digital services, has appointed Jone Sølvik as its new CEO. Gympak focuses on innovative products and digital services to make physical activity more accessible, aiming to inspire a healthier lifestyle and improve people’s health. Sølvik, a 44-year-old with a background in the clothing and tech industries, brings a wealth of experience, having previously held roles such as Head of Innovation and partner at KPMG.

The company’s mission is to inspire a healthier lifestyle and improve people’s health by offering new ways for individuals to incorporate physical activity into their daily lives. Gympak believes that successful companies in the future will prioritize the well-being of their employees, offering them opportunities to stay active at work, during travel, at home, or wherever they may be.

“We are incredibly happy and proud to welcome Jone to us at Gympak. His solid experience, drive, big heart and competence are exactly what we need. He will take good care of the many opportunities that lie ahead of us,” says multi-entrepreneur Tobias Lindberg, who is chairman of the board at Gympak. “The incoming CEO has solid experience from the clothing and tech industries, and health and well-being are high on his agenda.”

Sølvik expressed his excitement about leading Gympak, highlighting the company’s potential to create a global brand in health, clothing, and tech. He emphasized the importance of adding extra value for employees, noting that health is a key component of this effort. Gympak’s sales strategy involves managing the national market internally while using agents or distributors to reach customers worldwide.

“It is a great honor to lead Gympak! It will be exciting to build a global brand in health, clothing and tech together with a fantastic and professional team,” says Jone and continues; “I think companies need to add extra value for their staff in the future so that they can keep their staff but also bring in the stars of the future. Health is one of the key components and that’s where we come in. We also see that we will make a big difference for all hotels and their visitors in the future. We have already gained a foothold there.”

Gympak has already attracted customers in the hotel industry who see the company’s offerings as a way to enhance their sustainability efforts. Guests at these hotels have shown interest in working out but often lack the space or attire. Gympak’s packages, which can be rented out by hotels, provide a convenient solution to this issue.
