Copenhagen-based startup Goodwings has recently secured a significant boost in funding, raising $1.5 million in its latest late seed funding round. The investment was led by Global Cleantech Capital and JTB USA, with the participation of existing investors. Goodwings specializes in providing an innovative travel management system that addresses the pressing issue of carbon emissions reduction for businesses. One of Goodwings’ achievements is its strategic partnership with JTB USA, a renowned global travel management service provider and a subsidiary of Japan’s well-established travel agency, JTB Corp. This collaboration significantly enhances Goodwings’ service offering, as it grants their clientele broader access to a wider range of travel options, including flights, hotels, trains, and car rentals.

“This investment presents a huge growth opportunity for Goodwings,” said founder and CEO Christian Møller-Holst. “The market is primed for solutions like ours, and we’re ready to deliver.”

Goodwings’ subscription-based platform empowers businesses to make sustainable travel choices. The company’s approach involves channeling commissions earned from hotel and flight bookings into a dedicated “Climate Account.” This account becomes a financial resource that companies can tap into to invest in green aviation fuel and carbon offset initiatives. By seamlessly integrating responsible travel practices with its comprehensive travel management system, Goodwings provides a tangible means for businesses to align their operations with their environmental goals.

Goodwings’ commitment to balancing profit with social and environmental impact is evident in its dedication to providing clients with comprehensive data through its updated dashboard. This dashboard offers insights into the quantifiable reduction of CO2 emissions that clients have achieved across their businesses.

This latest development marks a milestone for Goodwings as it embarks on a new phase of growth. The additional investment and a strategic partnership with JTB USA underscores its dedication to delivering enhanced value to its customers. With the integration of an end-to-end Travel Management System, encompassing flights, hotels, trains, and rental cars, Goodwings is well-positioned to amplify its mission of reducing carbon emissions while offering a seamless and comprehensive travel experience.

For existing Goodwings customers, the expansion means even more opportunities to streamline their travel arrangements. The new Travel Management System empowers clients to book all their travel needs within a single platform, simplifying the process and promoting efficient decision-making. Furthermore, the improved dashboard centralizes emissions data, making it easier for businesses to track their progress in reducing and offsetting their carbon footprint.
