Franklin, a Copenhagen-based fintech startup catering to e-commerce businesses, has announced a strategic partnership with NIUM, an e-money institution and Visa principal member. This partnership will enable Franklin’s customers to access financial services provided by NIUM, including Visa cards with 0.5% cashback on marketing purchases, as well as integrations with e-commerce platforms, marketing channels, and accounting systems. NIUM’s state-of-the-art technology aligns with Franklin’s vision of providing tailored financial solutions for e-commerce businesses, aiming to challenge the traditional banking approach in this sector. The Danish startup has also received investments of €350K from various business angels, further supporting its goal of challenging traditional banking solutions for e-commerce businesses.

Franklin focuses on providing financial tools for e-commerce businesses. The company aims to empower e-commerce entrepreneurs by offering solutions that cater to their specific needs. Franklin believes that the traditional banking industry can be improved to better serve e-commerce businesses, which often face unique challenges and require more tailored financial services. The company’s founders, Nikolaj Bomann Mertz, Johan Frølich, and Peter Klit, bring a wealth of experience in fintech, e-commerce, and marketing to the table. With the support of reputable investors, Franklin aspires to establish itself as a leading financial platform for the e-commerce sector.

“Franklin has been well received with a lot of positive feedback, and we look forward to the collaboration with NIUM in this first, but important, step in Franklin’s journey. NIUM has quickly proven itself as a trusted partner, and its state-of-the-art technology aligns perfectly with our vision. The partnership with NIUM brings us closer to achieving our ambition of becoming the leading financial platform for e-commerce businesses.” says Nikolaj Bomann Mertz, co-founder of Franklin.
