The sTARTUp Day 2023 program will be announced! Here’s a little summary of what we have planned for you.
DAY ZERO: SIDE EVENTS
sTARTUp Day 2023 is going to start with 30+ side events all around the city of Tartu on March 15. The activities cover everything from practical workshops to tours and fun networking parties. Long story short: you’re going to be having fun while also sharpening your skills in the meantime.
DAY 2-3: MAIN FESTIVAL DAYS
Doesn’t matter whether you are a startup, investor, executive, or visitor, the sTARTUp Day 2023 program on March 16-17 is going to equip you with enough practical skills and motivation to make you a priceless addition to any field. 2023 will be the 7th time the festival is held and will feature topics such as AI, EdTech, FemTech, SexTech, HealthTech and as always, Entrepreneurial Skills and Inspirational Founder Stories. Whether you’re searching for inspiration, a way to make an impact, your next career challenge, or super hands-on seminars from the best of the best – you are at the right place! And of course, the most thrilling and rewarding event is going to be the sTARTUp Pitching competition where the stakes are high (up to €400 000). And last but not least, can’t forget about the legendary afterparty sTARTUp Night where business meets celebration and the festival visitors get to mingle while enjoying good music. Some surprises may also be included, who knows.
ABOUT
sTARTUp Day 2023 is a three-day business festival with a marvelous stage program, effective matchmaking, hands-on seminars, a demo area full of innovation, and vibrant side events. The inspirational-educational program consisted of various topics – from mental health to space tech, founder stories to aviation, and deeptech to the creative economy.We claim to be the most startup-minded business festival, but what does that mean? In short, it’s a way of thinking. You don’t need to be a startup to have a startup mindset! It’s about focusing on growth, working smart, not hard, having a bias towards action, and perhaps most importantly, being adaptable in situations of uncertainty.
In 2022, sTARTUp Day took place for the sixth time, bringing together over 180 world-class speakers, 319 startups, 140 investors, and 3900 attendees from 52 different countries all over the world. It’s a community-organized festival, organized by the city of Tartu, the University of Tartu, Tartu Science Park, Contriber, Tartu Biotechnology Park, Tartu Business Advisory Services, Tartu Centre for Creative Industries, Fractory, and Swedbank.
The international activities of sTARTUp Day 2023 introducing Tartu and Estonia as attractive tourism destinations for business and networking are supported by the European Regional Development Fund (30 000 euros for 1 event).
We expect the participants of sTARTUp Day 2023 to feel inspired and have a better knowledge of building a business, and more companies to be started both in Tartu and in Estonia as a whole. In addition to that, sTARTUp Day 2023 will supposedly increase the number of tourists and brand Tartu as one of the most entrepreneurial cities in the region.
