Oslo-based startup Einr AS is set to join forces with global professional services company Accenture, as the latter aims to expand its SAP supply chain and logistics capabilities in the Nordics. The acquisition, whose terms were not disclosed, is expected to enhance Accenture’s expertise in utilizing SAP technologies to optimize the flow of products within the retail and consumer electronics industries.

Einr AS, founded in 2015 and based in Oslo, specializes in high-volume logistics solutions, leveraging SAP technologies to streamline the movement of products from manufacturers to consumers. With its competencies in retail and supply chain management, transportation management, warehouse management, and assortment planning, Einr is well-positioned to enhance Accenture’s SAP offerings in the market.

The acquisition aligns with Accenture’s strategic focus on supply chain reinvention in response to rapidly changing customer expectations. By strengthening its SAP supply chain and logistics capabilities through the Einr acquisition, Accenture aims to empower its clients to build more responsive, resilient, and sustainable supply chains.

“In times of disruption, organizations need to reinvent their supply chains to meet rapidly changing customer expectations, grow and become more profitable,” said Emma McGuigan, senior managing director and Enterprise & Industry Technologies lead at Accenture. “With the acquisition of Einr, we will strengthen our SAP supply chain and logistics capabilities, which help our clients move to more responsive, resilient and sustainable supply chains.”

Per Atle Steinsland, managing director, Einr AS, added, “For the past eight years, we have delivered high volume logistics, retail and supply chain management solutions that helped our clients transform and grow within their industries. Together with Accenture, we will be able to deliver these highly specialized capabilities at scale, while creating exciting new development opportunities for our people.”

“The agreement to acquire Einr shows Accenture’s commitment to serve as our clients’ preferred partner in end-to-end SAP transformations and supply chain reinvention,” said Carsten Sachmann, Accenture’s Nordic lead. “The combined strength of Accenture and Einr’s experienced SAP business consultants will further enhance our market position with clients and SAP in the Nordic countries.”

Completion of the acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions.
