Oulu-based healthtech Monidor and Stockholm’s ApoEx announce their collaboration to bring Monidor’s service to the Swedish market. The Finnish startup specializes in developing easy-to-use and innovative software and devices for the digitalization of healthcare. As for ApoEx, it is a provider of services and solutions in the healthcare industry. The cooperation enables the Monidor remote IV therapy monitoring to expand effectively to the Swedish market.

The Monidor remote IV therapy monitoring service was launched at the end of 2021, from which the turnover of remote IV therapy monitoring has grown by almost 200% during 2022 in Finland. The next step in the expansion has been seen in Sweden, which has excellent technical capabilities for the implementation of the service. ApoEx is a Swedish distributor of medical technical solutions, consumables and pharmaceuticals, founded in 2010, with thousands of corporate clients in the healthcare sector from both the private and public sectors.

“Monidor’s product comes at just the right time. Their solution facilitates and improves treatment, which is why we are very happy to work together and offer their products and service,” says John Patrick Berlips, physician and founder of ApoEx. “Digitalization doesn’t have to be difficult. This is a concrete and user-friendly digitalization that quickly frees up valuable nurse’s time while improving the traceability of medication.”

“ApoEx is a very good partner for Monidor and our service is well suited for their customers. Based on the good user experiences and the benefits shown in the study in Finland, it is great to expand to Sweden, which as one of the Nordic countries is very similar to Finland. However, the Swedish market is larger and one of the forerunners in the digitalisation of hospitals,” says Mikko Savola, CEO of Monidor.
