To look forward you’ve got to see where you came from. Just 7 years ago Slush looked like a wasteland, spoiled by today’s standard of lasers, demo stands, bureaucrats, and 14,000 other people.
These were simpler times. People were rightfully excited about Billiards on the N95. Ilkka Paananen roamed the crowd like a normal guy. Panel discussions probably ranged from topics like “how to tell your parents you’re not going to take that job at Nokia” to “Venture Capital – What is it?”
