Danish startup raises €1 million to transform leadership with AI-powered HRtech platform

Copenhagen-based startup Zoios has secured €1 million in a seed round led by People Ventures, Y Combinator, and a group of notable Danish angel investors. The company offers an AI-powered platform designed to enhance employee well-being and performance through actionable insights for leadership teams and HR professionals. With this new funding, Zoios aims to expand its market presence and further develop its technology, which has already shown success in improving employee well-being by 19% and reducing organizational stress by 18% within six months.

Zoios is an HRtech startup on a mission to improve the lives of one million people through enhanced culture and leadership. Founded in 2021 by Christian Højbo Møller and Mikkel Agesen, Zoios leverages AI-powered technology to track employee well-being and performance, offering real-time, actionable insights to leadership teams and HR professionals. The company is driven by a purpose to produce innovative solutions that make a tangible difference in people’s lives while enjoying the journey. Major organizations like Telenor, Red Cross, Maersk, Veo, and Donkey Republic utilize Zoios’ platform. Through a collective data model, millions of data points, and applied AI, Zoios provides contextual recommendations to improve the overall employee experience and reduce turnover.

Christian Tost, General Partner at People Ventures, says: “We’ve been fans of the team and their mission since we first met them in the summer of 2021. We still see great potential for Zoios as a platform to make leadership more data-driven and assist leaders in managing their teams. The fact that they are already close to becoming a profitable business while growing by triple digits yearly only further strengthens the case.”

According to tech.eu, Møller highlighted that poor leadership is becoming increasingly costly amid the competitive fight for talent, where employees now hold more negotiation power than employers. He pointed out that declining well-being and rising stress levels in the workplace are unacceptable and that talented leaders contribute significantly to higher profits. Møller noted that companies spend more on leadership development programs than on all HR tech combined, suggesting that the persistent leadership problems indicate that current solutions are ineffective. He emphasized the need for actionable insights, time, and tools that support leaders daily. Zoios’ solution has been proven to improve employee well-being by 19% and reduce organizational stress by 18% within six months.
