Swedish private equity investor exits investment in Vizrt Group

Nordic Capital, a Swedish private equity company, is exiting its investment in Vizrt Group, a software organization, to a Nordic Capital-led consortium that has recently been formed. This new move is expected to allow Nordic Capital further support Vizrt Group’s growth.

Nordic Capital is a private equity investor with a focus on Healthcare, Tech & Payments and Financial Services. Their investments particularly focus in Northern Europe and they have invested over €19 million in more than 120 investments since being founded in 1989.

Vizrt is a production software group made up of three strong names from the media and entertainment technology industry; NewTek, NDI® and Vizrt. Employing more than 600 people from 58 different nationalities and operating in 16 different countries, it is a global and a very diverse organization.

Nordic Capital started investing in Vizrt Group in 2015. Since then, Vizrt’s revenues have doubled and its profits have increased substantially. Today a Nordic Capital investment vehicle is exiting its investment in Vizrt Group to a new Nordic Capital-led consortium. About these latest developments, Fredrik Näslund, Partner and Head of Technology & Payments at Nordic Capital Advisors, has stated:

“This transaction is an opportunity for Nordic Capital to continue to support Vizrt’s high-caliber management team and to further develop the company which has an exciting future ahead with strong growth potential.”

The software organization Vizrt Group is expected to keep growing with this recent development

Since Nordic Capital started its investment in Vizrt Group, they have carried some expansion initiatives and the software organization got more access to new talent, along with getting a strong management team. So, Vizrt Group has experienced substantial growth with the investment they received from Nordic Capital.

About the recent developments, Michael Hallén, CEO of Vizrt, has said that the continued investment validates the growth strategy they have embarked upon with Nordic Capital. He, then added that this is a strong endorsement of the capabilities of their team and the value they deliver for their customers every day.
