Stockholm Water Technology raises 10 mln crowns

Stockholm Water Technology (SWT), which offers smart, clean and sustainable water purification solutions primarily for industrial use has raises 10 million Swedish crowns in funding for going to the market and product development.

Investors in the financing round included Almi Invest and the private investors STOAF III SciTech and SEA (Sustainable Energy Angels).

Stockholm Water Technology (SWT) has developed a water purification solution that enables sustainable, affordable and efficient water management.

“The company has developed a strong and patented technology in a rapidly growing area.”

Marcus Boijemyr, Fund Manager at Almi Invest

The solution requires lower energy compared to existing alternatives because it is independent of water temperature, has high water recovery and does not have a membrane, which requires more energy.

“SWT’s unique ability to, with a single technology, clean water from many different pollutants will have a pioneering impact in many applications where today a combination of several different systems is required-“

Magnus Eriksson, General Partner at STOAF III SciTech

SWT is in various stages of testing and sales with about fifteen customers and has already sold some units. The company is now facing market introduction, where the focus will mainly be on water treatment in the industrial sector and in the real estate sector.
