Lund-based startup Pinteg has secured nearly €600K (7 MSEK) in funding for its data protection platform called Fairity. The company aims to address the challenges businesses face in complying with GDPR law, as 86% of business leaders currently lack satisfactory solutions for GDPR compliance. Pinteg is at the forefront of developing innovative data protection solutions that cover the entire framework of how data protection should work between companies, organizations, and citizens.

Fairity is a Software as a Service (SaaS) platform that simplifies and automates the management of personal data, aiming to inspire trust. Pinteg is collaborating with authorities and researchers in Sweden to develop a new data certification, with the first draft expected to be completed in 2023. Fairity will be the first product to receive this certification, contributing to better control over the collection and handling of personal data in Sweden.

Earlier this year, Pinteg closed a seedplus funding round, with contributions from business angels, some of whom have experience in Data Privacy and the IT industry. With the 7 million SEK funding, the company plans to increase sales and marketing efforts for its data protection platform Fairity in Sweden. Investors in Pinteg express confidence in the company’s vision and its ability to provide solutions for data protection in an increasingly digitized world while preserving individuals’ personal privacy.

“Pinteg collaborates with the leading authorities and researchers in Sweden regarding the development of a data certification, and in 2023 the first draft will be completed. Fairity will be the first product to be verified against this new certification. This will contribute to better control of the collection and handling of personal data in Sweden,” says Patrik Persson, co-founder and CEO of Pinteg AB.

“I am proud to be able to be involved in building data protection solutions for a safer and more controlled society. Pinteg has this vision and I now see many exciting steps towards products that will handle this in their product portfolio,” says Per Henriksson, investor Espinagar AB.

“Today’s digitization must be able to continue in order to develop new and smart solutions, while protecting the individual’s personal integrity. We are convinced that Pinteg has the right product, vision and team to create the future solution for these challenges,” say Martin Andersson and Peter Andersson, investors Eqventus AB.
