Order of Meta, a game development studio based in Helsinki, has successfully raised $3.3 million in a seed funding round. The funds are intended to finalize the development and launch of their first mobile cross-platform game, Cargo Hunters. It is a PvPvE extraction shooter, immersing players in the post-apocalyptic remnants of Earth, where they must navigate a harsh environment, engage in competitive battles for resources, and confront cooperative challenges, all within a meta-rich gaming experience. The release is scheduled for 2024. GEM Capital led the investment round, with participation from Korea Investment Partners, Play Ventures, and The Games Fund. Order of Meta had previously raised $1.5 million in a pre-seed funding round in 2021. The funds will be used to expand the team and facilitate a soft launch in the coming year.
