This makes capital allocation riddled with bias and very ripe for disruption. This prediction is the foundation for the transformational loans that we are able to issue, and a tool that founders get to keep for business optimisation.

Gilion (former ArK) was founded in 2021 by a six-time entrepreneur, a world-class AI technology developer and a veteran banker. Since then we’ve carefully grown our team to 75 – all pitching in with their experience to build something that none of us has seen before. Gilion is headquartered in Stockholm with employees in Denmark, Germany, UK and the US.

We are now looking to expand our Finance team with a Senior Business Controller

The essence of the role

As a Senior Business Controller you will work as a Business Partner and support Managers and their organisations with OPEX Control (personnel and non-personnel costs), Business plan review, crafting Budget/forecasts, analysis, KPI reporting, offer insights, cost optimization support through proactive cost follow-up, contract negotiation as well as tracking, analysing and reporting of profit.

This is a business-oriented role, working both hands-on and strategic, with budget owners within the organisation, where you will be the bridge between finance and management. This is a great opportunity for you to influence, develop and grow with a fast growing company.

As our Senior Business Controller you will

• Partner with managers to the global support functions, IT, HR, Legal, Finance, Strategy, to drive achievement of financial and operational targets

• Support, analyse, consolidate, discuss, and challenge financial budget/forecasts with responsible managers including profitability/ROE analysis, business plan review, cost optimization

• Actively work in the monthly closing and drive the forecast/budget process, ensuring control, accuracy, measure, report, present and timely delivery of figures, KPI’s and analysis

• Continuously work on improving our processes and daily tasks together with Business operations analysis and CFO

• Support through in-depth analysis and sharing of financial knowledge with the aim of reaching financial targets

In order to be successful in this role, we believe you have:

• Education: Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering or similar.

• Experience: Business Controller/Finance Business Partner or Accounting background.

• Technical skills: You have financial and analytical skills, with a data driven approach and an ability to simplify complex data. Proficiency in financial software and advanced knowledge within Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets and PowerPoint/Google slides .

• Personality Skills: You enjoy working in a fast-paced international environment and have the ability to live and act in a climate of change and have a passion for tech.
