Your responsibilities

Our Credit Division is growing rapidly, we offer credit lines of up to £1M and credit
cards to eligible customers. The Reporting Manager for Credit will be a business
partner of the Credit Team and will act as the product controller. You will be given the
opportunity to shape the reporting of the Credit function as the business scales. The
role is a brilliant opportunity to lead the set-up from scratch of our Reporting Team for
Credit and grow professionally while Juni expands.

In this role you’ll:

  • Business partnering with the Credit Team, providing advice on the financial implications of new financial products and support other finance processes such as budget management and business planning
  • Reviewing, monitoring and offering insights into the performance of the credit
  • Development and management of the IFRS9 financial reporting model in line with the relevant accounting standards and the translation of the results to the business in a clear, concise way to identify operational drivers for change working closely with Credit Team
  • Preparation and Review of Accounting papers for different financial reporting areas as required
  • Finance support on Debt raising strategies and management of revolving credit facilities
  • Management of the month-end accounting process by preparing journals from the financial reporting models, reconciling the ledgers and managing the payments/receipts
  • Collaboration with both internal and external audit to provide information where necessary and to manage the audit process of your business unit
  • Coaching the relevant business units, driving the reporting process changes, challenging the existing arrangements and improving the governance and control procedures
  • Recruitment training and development of the Credit accounting team (Financial Analyst) as required while Juni grows

Within 1 Month You’ll

  • You will be the Business partner of the Credit Team and you will be reporting on
    the monthly results of the Credit Product
  • You will start challenging the existing set up and propose improvements in the
    accounting and control procedures of the Credit cards product

Within 3 Month You’ll

  • You will be the subject matter expert of the Companies IFRS9 policies

Your qualifications

What we’d like to see:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) with a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience in the Accounting Function of a Financial Services Company offering credit products (credit cards) at a manager/supervisor level
  • Experience in Financial Services Audits – qualified in a Big4/Top10 Audit firm before moving to the industry in a similar role (desirable)
  • Strong communications and business partnering skills with ability to translate complexity into understandable actions for the business
  • Ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision in a rapidly changing environment, influencing the business departments and driving improvements in the end-to-end financial reporting process
  • A problem solving, hands on approach, not afraid to challenge the status quo and push for changes
  • Proven expertise in the application of IFRS9 to providers of business credit, with proven capability to communicate financial accounting requirements to stakeholders
  • Highly numerate with computer literacy and advanced excel skills
