Clutch was founded in early 2021. We are a group of racket sports players, software engineers and designers. In the past months we have raised funding from world class investors such as Crowberry Capital, PreSeed Ventures, David Helgason (founder of Unity) and more.

We have a flexible work arrangement with part of the team working from our office in Barcelona and the rest working remote. Currently we are working with some of the world’s best badminton players and coaches in beta and plan for an open launch in the summer of 2022.

Role and responsibilities

Clutch is looking for a Computer Vision Engineer to join us in building the future of virtual sports coaching. This future relies on a high performing infrastructure of computer vision and neural networks.

We are developing state of the art algorithms in the domains of semantic segmentation, object detection and spatiotemporal action localization. You will be working closely with our CTO and the rest of the engineering team in building and enhancing the AI backend powering the Clutch virtual coach.

What you’ll achieve

  • Develop state of the art algorithms and increase the performance of our visual tracking (perception) brain
  • Maintain reliability and collaborate on technical architecture decisions
  • Review and refactor both your own and colleagues codebases
  • Help maintain and foster an excellent engineering culture

Minimum qualifications

  • You have 3+ years industry experience applying ML/DL/CV to tackle real-world problems
  • Experience working with at least one of the following: action recognition, temporal action localisation, and object tracking
  • Experience working with technologes like PyTorch, TensorFlow, Docker and OpenCV
  • Excellent experience in Python and strong experience in software development, writing great code and implementing patterns where they apply

Bonus qualifications

  • Experience with edge Machine Learning
  • Experience with the AWS suite
  • Publications in academic journals
  • Experience contributing to open-source projects
  • A passion for racket sports never hurt anyone!
