CanvasDropr and Presentation.io Assemble Under New Brand, Plus Partnership & New CEO

Lots of new things are happening with the folks behind CanvasDropr and Presentation.io. It’s tough to sum it up in an intro-paragraph, but to put it shortly, the Copenhagen-based company is getting serious, and now calls itself Assemblage.

First of all, CanvasDropr has rebranded to KOLLABORATE.IO. There’s a decent reason for it, co-founder Cathrine Andersen tells us that they’ve made some heavy changes to the product, and now they’re focusing more on enterprise applications. The platform now supports 40+ file types and add Dropbox, Box, GoogleDrive integrations plus Voice and Video, really making it an interesting product for online collaboration. The idea here is to focus more on real-time visual collaboration, rather than a way to send ideas to each other. “We felt we need to rebrand Canvasdropr to mark that change,” she tells us.

Development is still proceeding with their other product, Presentation.io, which allows for real-time feedback on a cool presentation platform. Audience members can load up the presentations on their phones or computers, and can also discuss the presentation during or after the presentation.

To move these products, they just inked a deal with Tibco, the creator of a Yammer/Podio competitor called Tibbr. The platform boasts 1.5 million paid users, so it’s a huge partnership for the company. There, users will be able to take advantage of Assemblage’s products within the service after June 12.

And if you thought that was the last of their news, they’ve just hired entrepreneur and Angel investor Jeff Coe as CEO of Assemblage.

Clearly a lot of things are happening for the company, and Andersen tells us they’re dead-set on growing fast now, with the aim of being 10 people in the next couple of months. Now might be the time to keep a closer look on them.
