Tallinn-based startup Bioreactor has successfully completed its pre-seed financing round with investment from Hiidenkivi Investment Oy and Grid.vc. The startup provides a 45 kW miniature power plant for households that turns biomass and waste into heat & electricity – taking your home to energy self-sufficiency and a fossil-free future. With this funding, the company can produce and deliver its first 25 pilot installations capable of generating 10 GWh of clean energy annually. Bioreactor’s innovative technology harnesses the power of cloud-controlled biogas reactors to generate heat and electricity for homes and businesses while reducing carbon emissions and energy costs. The funding round showcases the potential of Bioreactor’s technology, and the company looks forward to advancing its embedded energy technology and bringing its solution to communities throughout the Nordics.

This milestone marks a major step forward in Bioreactor’s mission to revolutionise the clean energy sector with a weather-independent electricity generation alternative. By harnessing the power of cloud-controlled biogas reactors, Bioreactor’s cutting-edge biomass gasification technology can produce both heat and electricity for households and businesses alike, while reducing carbon emissions and significantly slashing energy costs.

The successful funding round is a testament to the potential of Bioreactor’s innovative technology and the expertise of its dedicated team. Bioreactor is grateful to its investors for recognising the value of its mission and supporting its vision for a cleaner, more sustainable future.
