The Swedish originated video advertising platform Videoplaza is on fire to say the least. We heard news from the company yesterday and they’re doing very well. Back in March we wrote about Videoplaza securing a 3.5 million euro financing round to further grow the company. The company has signed a lot of different broadcasters from Europe as its clients and also moved its headquarters to London.
As a reminder, it’s probably worth mentioning that when Videoplaza took the 3.5 million euro investment their CEO Sorosh Tavakoli wrote a blog post on it. In the post he explained that they are taking in the money, even though they’re doing very well financially (and would not need it to simply keep them afloat), as they wanted to grow even faster that they can do organically. The investment has definitely fueled Videoplaza’s growth.
In the recent months, they have signed up M6 from France, MTV3 from Finland, Verdens Gang (VG) from Norway and Control Investe from Portugal. Including these new additions to their client roster, Videoplaza has entered into 7 new markets and they are currently active in 15 countries.
Perhaps one of the most important metrics for the company and its clients is the amount of ad servings. Videoplaza’s ad servings are up 200% from six months back meaning they have tripled the amount of advertising they show. To help increasing ad impressions in the future, Videoplaza will support HTML5 enabling adserving on a variety of platforms including iPhone, Android, iPad and Silverlight.
Lastly, the company has also moved its headquarters to London. Videoplaza has doubled its team, but it will keep the Product and Development teams in Stockholm while moving the sales, client relations and finance to London. Tavakoli states that it is the only realistic way to grow an international company. The company is also hiring so if you’ve ever wanted to work at an exciting company – apply now, the jobs will be wanted as the company is on a hockey stick like this.
