We don’t promote a lot of events like this, but when we do you can be sure they’re worth taking a look at. Two events we’d like to bring to your attention (and you can win a ticket to the Inspire conference, read more details below) today are the Inspire conference and the Startup 2.0 event aimed at mobile apps. The Inspire conference is organised in London between 7th an 8th of June where as Startup 2.0 is organised in Bilbao, Spain between the 17th and 18th of June.

Inspire Conference (you can win a free ticket)
We’ve teamed up with the organisers of the Inspire Conference to put on a competition where you have the chance to win a free ticket to the event (in total 2 tickets available). The Inspire conference promotes itself as “innovation, trends and thought leadership in technology, creativity and entrepreneurship”. That by itself already sounds pretty interesting, but more interesting is actually the speaker list they’ve managed to put together.

The conference features speakers such as Aza Raskin, the Ex-head of UX at Mozilla Labs, Nick Halstead, Founder and CEO of Mediasift and Tweetmeme, Shakil Khan, in charge of Special projects at Spotify, and many others. To be able to win the free ticket – all you need to do is fill out this form, it’s that simple.

Startup 2.0
Startup 2.0 is fully aimed at mobile apps. Last year the event attracted hundreds of participants from all around Europe for two days in Bilbao. The best part of Startup 2.0 is their apps competition.

You have time to submit your application to the competition by the 27th of May. Then, internet users select the 20 best applications in an online vote. Finally, the local jury will further select 5 finalists to participate in the event and they will cover all travel expenses for the finalists. So basically, you have nothing to lose by sending in your application.

Click here to submit your application (do so by 27th of May, 2011).
