Tapad founder Are Traasdahl won the Global Startup Award as a founder of the year on Friday in Kuala Lumpur, while Danish Rainmaking Loft picked up the award for best co-working space in the world.
Startup of the Year award went to Malaysia’s GRAB, with the rest of the prizes to Europe. Austria’s Speedinvest won the award for Investor of the year.
The event gathered all the regional winners from the Nordics, Central Europe and Asia under the roof in Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre in Malaysia – at the iconic Petronas Towers.
The award show started in 2012 in the Nordics under the name ‘Nordic Startup Awards’. The purpose is to recognize the hard working entrepreneurs. Four years after the first event, Global Startup Awards was held. ArcticStartup won the award as the No 1 Startup Media in Nordics this year.
