Every now and then we highlight a few good events people should attend to make the most of their networking, business opportunities or learning new things. There are three good conferences we believe people should watch in the coming month or so. They are Goto Conference organised in Aarhus, Denmark, Slush organised in Helsinki, Finland and StartupGarage -event organised in Tallinn, Estonia. All slightly different, but surely worth your time to check them out if they’re of interest to you. Below’s a short break down of each event.
StartupGarage event in Tallinn, Estonia on October 5
A free event that sold out last year really fast. It will gather some 500 people to participate in a half a day event kicking off from 9.30 and continuing until 14.00. The event will feature three keynote speakers; Ivo Mägi, Aape Pohjavirta and Ville Miettinen. More information on the event can be found from http://startupgarage.eu/blog/big-conference-coming
Goto Conference in Aarhus, Denmark on October 10-12
This conference is a developer conference with a capital D. The conference gathers more than 1300 participants from all over. It has been organised since 1997 and has a great reputation of bringing in interesting speakers. This year the conference has a ton of speakers and 5 different tracks. Definitely worth taking a look at if you’re a developer or have any wishes of becoming one. You can find the conference at http://gotocon.com/aarhus-2011/
Slush in Helsinki, Finland on November 2-3
Slush is already a few years old and pulls together people from all walks of life. This year it will feature keynotes from people such as Ilja Laurs (GetJar founder), Raimo van der Klein (CEO of Layar) and Pekka Viljakainen (former exec at Tieto). The event also features a startup competition. More info on Slush at http://slush.fi.
