Copenhagen-based startup Teamway raises €1 million in an extension round led by US investor CMT Digital with participation from Invested, Jeffrey Haas, a prominent Web3-focused angel investor, and the existing investor Dreamcraft Ventures. The Danish startup builds a decentralised, society-led talent platform where tech professionals team up with progressive companies to build meaningful products and services. The strategic investor round will pave the way for further development of the platform.
Teamway was founded in late 2020 by Søren Nørgaard and Kristian Kongsted and launched in 2021. By utilising Web3 technology Teamway is able to build the most empowering, member-owned society for product builders. Søren Nørgaard has a background from Silicon Valley and Kristian Kongsted most recently worked as a Chief Developer at the national bank of Denmark before founding Teamway. The idea for Teamway arose during Covid-19 where it became more apparent than ever how important it is to empower an elastic, remote work setup using the potential of Web3.
Teamway plans to launch the TMW token this fall, which will allow Teamway’s members to earn coins for their work. CMT Digital’s new financing will also make this possible.

By embracing a remote work setup, you are able to stay competitive on the talent side and work at the speed it takes to be adaptable in an ever-changing market, both when it comes to market tendencies and technological changes.”
The capabilities of Web3 will enable Teamway to build their product out in the open in co-creation with their society. This co-creation process will set an example of how to lead the next era of work, and result in various product updates in the future.
