Soundcloud launched on Tuesday in the United States its long-awaited music subscription service, going head-to-head with Spotify and Apple Music.
“It’s a big day for the SoundCloud community – for both creators and listeners, newbies and those of you who’ve been with us from the beginning,” the company said in its blog.
Soundcloud, the Berlin-based startup founded in 2007 by Swedes Alexander Ljung and Eric Wahlforss, launched its service called Go first on the U.S. market.
Soundcloud offers 30-day free trial and charges $9.99 per month (or $12.99 per month if purchased through iOS app) after the trial is over.
