Seedcamp is coming up Stockholm on May 4th to find the gems of the region and connect them to investors and other people that can help them go forward. “We’ve seen a very strong group of startups coming out of the Nordics, and especially the technically focused teams are impressive”, Philipp Moehring from Seedcamp stated. We recently covered GrabCad’s success in winning both Seedcamp London and being accepted into TechStars, which should be a sign to everyone that the talent required is very much present at the region.

Seedcamp Stockholm is a “Mini Seedcamp” event, which means its one of the smaller global events Seedcamp offers. This shouldn’t put you off as the event works as a gateway for companies to get financing and a chance to meet with some of the best mentors around.

The event will be held on the 4th of May and the application period is already open. Actually, it’s closing on April 17th, so you’d better hurry if you want to apply.

If you’re not familiar with the Seedcamp procedure and process, you can take a better look on their website. However, in short Seedcamp organises Mini Seedcamps globally to find the most potential startups and invest in a select few 50 000 € for a 8-10% stake in equity. With the deal, the startups get access to a network of mentors and investors.

It really is a great deal to go for if you’re in a position that all this looks attractive. Nordic and Baltic companies are naturally able to apply to other Mini Seedcamps as well, but Stockholm is probably the closest one. Then again, the Estonian based Pipedrive was selected as one of the Mini Seedcamp Berlin companies.
