Rebtel Continues With Its Record Breaking Spree; Reaches 10 Million Users

Rebtel_logoRebtel continues to grow by leaps and bounds and set to continue with the same as per its recent growth. The company announced that it has crossed the 10 million users globally, continuing with its high riding performance lately. As per the current statistics Rebtel is growing almost five times faster than Skype the leading VoIP service provider. Rebtel has increased its revenue by over 120%, exceeding beyond $40 Million in 2010 and given how it has grown, Rebtel is in line to double the same and push the revenue to $75 Million by the end of the current year.

While those numbers are on finances the company has also achieved big on its purpose; the calls. It has clocked over 1 billion minutes since 2006 and over 200 million connected calls. The winning point here are the users who are more than just content with the service and vow to recommend it to others in their circle, which is a staggering 98% of all existing users. CEO Andreas Bernström in a statement said:

We are thrilled to be growing at such a rate and plan to keep up this pace for the rest of 2011 and beyond. We have a detailed plan of action for the coming months and will be releasing more innovative and viral applications that help us deliver high quality and low cost international calls for the consumer market.

The expansion of Rebtel isn’t just confined to a few regions as it is operational in Africa, Asia and the Middle East alike. This was also aided with enabling free international calls to mobiles in Bahrain, Jordan and Algeria along with the introduction of lower rates for calls in others.

It will be interesting to see if Rebtel exceeds its own expectations in the current year and registers stronger raise in revenue as well as more users.
