One big change that’s come out with today’s Android release is the ability for party hosts to un-restrict the playlists the jukeboxes are attached to. So instead of letting party guests just choose songs from your playlist, you can open up your guests to the whole Spotify library. It sounds like a risky proposition (depending on the crowd you’re with) but is a fun feature.
An additional feature is that you can see Playmysong jukeboxes on a map, allowing you to find the nearest party and explore music in your city.
Today they’ve launched their updated Android app, which brings the look and feel into line with their recently updated iPhone app. Here it’s easier to find nearby venues using Playmysong, and finding and adding tracks is a smoother process. In the future they’re going to move more social by placing a greater emphasis on the people that chose the music, and also make it easier for bars and venues to visualize upcoming requests on a screen.
It’s becoming more and more of a mature product, so check out Playmysong the next time you’re at a bar with a Playmysong sticker. Better yet, let’s throw a party at your house tonight.
The Playmysong Spotify app can be found here. Links to all their platforms can be found on the Playmysong website.
