One Minute Startup News: Natural Cycles

Swedish contraceptive app Natural Cycles raises $30 million in Series B to care about women’s health on a global level.

The contraceptive app, founded by a couple Dr Raoul Scherwitzl and Dr Elina Berglund, is used for detecting ovulation and days of fertility. The app helps you to get to know your body and truly understand how your cycle works. All you need to do is measure your temperature in the morning and enter the data into the app. The app will then give you a red or a green day depending on whether you need to use protection.

Natural Cycles is backed by a unique algorithm that takes your temperature and many other factors like temperature fluctuations and cycle irregularities into account.

It currently has 500,000 users. It is certified by the EU and recognised as a regulated contraceptive.
