Cybersecurity is a serious problem for many small businesses. From SYlink, a French cybersecurity startup at Slush100 that companies spend up to 20,000 euros on cybersecurity annually. Although for many of us cybersecurity is a ghost in the shell, small businesses and startups are incredibly vulnerable to cyber attacks, especially in their first 2 years.

A Swedish IT security startup Detectify built a web security scanner that performs fully automated tests to identify security issues on your website and creates a report with the results. It is designed to be easy to use even for those with little or no previous knowledge of web security.

Detectify was born from the simple idea that the internet was broken. The company was founded in 2013 by a group of top-ranked white-hat hackers who had discovered severe vulnerabilities in Google, Facebook and PayPal etc. Detectify is a part of the ethical hacking community, and today, they utilize the knowledge of 100+ handpicked hackers from around the globe to keep their users safe.

The company has investors such as Risto Siilasmaa, Founder of F-Secure customers like Trello, Le Monde and Pipedrive. It raised $1.07 million in January 2017 from Helsinki-based Inventure.
