NurseBuddy Raises 650,000 Euros To Save Grannies And Grandpas

NurseBuddy, Finnish-Irish software solution for home care organisations, has raised 650,000 euros funding to support its product development and to grow its international sales.

NurseBuddy has built a mobile solution for optimizing nurses’ and carers’ schedules and sharing information, thus freeing more time to actual care work and helping minimize the risk of malpractice. It’s working on increasing automation of the product.

“We are dedicated to solving one of the major challenges for Western societies. Grannies and granddads deserve the best possible care, and nurses and carers deserve easy-to-use tools so that they can focus on their clients instead of bureaucracy,” Simo Hännikkälä, CoFounder and CEO of NurseBuddy, said in a statement.

The current development phase aims at integrating sensors, locators, measuring devices and other instruments to the software. Automation will further reduce time spent on bureaucratic tasks and ensure that no human factors interfere with data collection.

“The scheduling element has reduced our administration time significantly, and the system is very easy to use for both Care Managers and Caregivers,” said Maggie Edwards, Director of Services of Care At Home Services Ltd.

The 2012-founded Nursebuddy is currently recruiting sales and marketing professionals at Dublin office.
