Nordic banking group Nordea has opened applications for its FinTech accelerator, largest of its kind in Nordics, taking in teams around the world.
Nordea said it was especially looking for emerging technologies like cognitive computing, artificial intelligence in banking and financial usage of blockchain technology, but also several other areas could be interesting for it.
The accelerator picks 50 teams to a training and selection week in Oslo in August and the best 20-30 startups get into the 3-month accelerator programme in Helsinki and Stockholm.
Nordea’s first batch of 12 teams graduated in early 2016. The startups have so far received over 600,000 euros in new funding and for two startups (Jenny and Feelingstream) Nordea is preparing actual pilots.
