Nokia has announced that they have topped 7 million daily downloads on the Ovi Store. The actual record amount of daily downloads is 7.62 million, which beat the previous record of 6.72 million set only a few days earlier.

Last week Nokia reported its Q2/2011 results which gave a pretty dismal state of the company’s finances. What the figures don’t show though in true light, are figures like the 7 million daily app downloads. This has steadily been growing as in April, the company reached 5 million daily downloads and back in November 2010 the figure was a mere 3 million.

With 7 million daily downloads, if this rate would be kept on average over the year, Nokia would be serving some 2.5 billion downloads annually.
