Latvian peer-to-peer lending marketplace Mintos said on Thursday it has signed up Czech non-bank mortgage lender ACEMA Credit Czech, a deal which will expand reach of both platforms.
The Czech financing company generated more than 14 million euros of loans in 2015. “We are looking to diversify sources of financing and decide to collaborate with Mintos because we value their fair and transparent business processes,” Martin Hronek, Business Development Manager of ACEMA, said in a statement.
Starting from 2015, Mintos offers a peer-to-peer lending business model on a single platform for investors and borrowers. Lenders from 40 countries has invested more than 19 million euros on the platform over the past year.
Peer-to-peer lending marketplace Mintos closed last month a seed-funding round, attracting €2 million from Skillion Ventures, a Riga-based venture capital firm. The platform launched in January 2015 brings together investors with non-bank lenders, giving opportunities to both private individuals and institutional investors to finance non-bank lender loans.
