This startup from Estonia  makes the sailing experience easier by offering mobile self-service in harbours. The service allows you to browse, book, check in-out and use mobile payments for all marina services with no extra fees. Whether you are looking for laundry services or mast maintenance, Marina Ahoy will help you to find the one.

Whether you are looking for laundry services or mast maintenance, Marina Ahoy will help you to find the one.
In addition to that, Marina Ahoy provides simple solutions for marinas and harbours, which saves time spent on filling manual web forms, waiting and searching while arriving into a marina and reduces the amount of paperwork for marina management. The service is free for sailors and includes free features for marinas, but will charge a fixed service fee for advanced features per visitor.

The business model is based on revenues from the transaction fees of the marinas and monetising third party services. The commission fee is charged only when the marina gets all the data automatically through the sailor’s app. Marina Ahoy consists of 5 people with backgrounds in UI and designs, architecture and e-service development in the public sector. Given that there are 4,500 marinas with 1.75 million berths in Europe and 10,000 marinas in the US and rest of the world, the business has great potential. Plus, the company has a good traction. At the moment, the company works with 15 marinas in Estonia and plans to enter 10 Finnish marinas while still in the pre-seed stage.
