Danish legal tech has received €3.1M to bring automation to the legal industry

Copenhagen’s online legal service operator Legal Desk unveils its Series A funding of 3.1 million euros (DKK 23M) which is planned to be used to reach more markets across the Nordic region. The investment was made by an angel investor, Michael Haaning. He will join the board to work with the existing shareholders Niels-Ulrik Mousten and Peter Sandberg, as well as Steen Ulf Jensen and Thomas Hald, both of whom also serve on the Board of Directors.

The startup’s platform provides a user-friendly online platform where users can get legal documents for those in need, especially the ones who has a limited budget for a legal service. The platform gives access of automated forms to the users so that they can make their own legal documents in an easy and cost-effect way.

Founded in 2016 by Simon Eklund and Anders Lyager Kaae, Legal Desk will use the funding to enlarge its team to support the expansion and work more on the development of the platform.
