Latvian AI firm Skylar Launches Slack Bot

Latvian artificial intelligence startup Skylar Labs launched on Monday its bot for Slack, which helps users to automate routine tasks and a integrate business tools to get data directly into Slack from sources like Salesforce, Stripe and Zendesk.

“One of our primary goals is to bring additional focus and clarity to the overwhelming amount of bots created today by focusing on the business side of the equation as the common interest,” founder Hassan Abdulhamid said on Monday on Skylar’s post on Product Hunt.

The problem the team is solving stems from the fact that Slack limits number of bots users can tap on on their free plan.

“We saw an opportunity to put all these bots experience in one seamless solution for end users on Slack and we even help them do more by allowing business to use Skylar to answer questions and collect appointments from customers with the Facebook messenger,” the company said.

Skylar’s product has been in private beta since February and has more than 1,000 users. The team has been in Flat6labs Accelerator in Abu Dhabi, and is working on its seed round.
