Job Responsibilities
Act as a bridge between the executive team and scientific teams
Plan the scientific projects and manage the project deadlines, milestones and the scientific teams
Budgeting for the projects
Report progress, needs and issues to the executive team
Represent the company in international conferences (willingness to travel for work is essential)
Represent the company to the largest enterprise customers
Guide the scientific development of the products based on latest publications and feedback from Finnadvance Customer Success
Position is based in Oulu, Finland
Desired Skills

strong expertise in cell biology, 3D cell culture models, imaging techniques, evidence of hands-on experience in cell culture
skills for leading internal development of FA products and services with the CEO
project management skills: can manage R&D projects, including resource allocation, schedules, and budgets
people leadership, experience in supervising team
excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills (also online)
can communicate scientific concepts to a wide audience (internal and external)
understands the importance of good science visualization in reports, presentations, posters, publications
knows scientific writing: publications, funding applications
familiar with research and R&D funding instruments (Finnish, EU, or Business Finland, maybe also some other)
Background:
PhD in the relevant field: life sciences, medical or biomedical sciences, bioengineering, or cell biology with a research career, preferred therapeutic area in oncology, respiratory or neuronal/brain diseases
OR MSc in biomedicine, bioengineering, or cell biology and 5+ years of working experience in (relevant international) biotech industry R&D
