Iceland’s Controlant take over Intenta’s BI Manager, CTO

Controlant has bough Business Intelligence Solution, BI Manager, from Icelandic company Intenta, with also Intenta’s cofounder and Chief Technology Officer, Bjarki Elias Kristjansson, joining Controlant as Vice President of Data. 

Controlant is most broadly known for its global monitoring of the Pfizer BioNTech COVID-19 vaccines and supply chains, but its customers include several of the top 25 global pharma & life sciences companies, as well as, a growing number of food & beverage companies: The US Department of Health and Human Services, Teva, Allergan (now part of Abbvie), Chipotle, P&G, World Courier, Boots Walgreen Alliance and others, monitoring products in over 115 countries.

Controlant’s real-time and reusable IoT data loggers travel with products from the manufacturer through last-mile delivery, including vaccines, pharmaceuticals, food, beverages, beauty and toiletry products, sending data into Controlant’s cloud-enabled software control tower platform.
