Get Yourself To Oslo for MESH #5

The good folks at MESH, the Oslo coworking space we all want to work at, are putting on their fifth event, dubbed MESH #5. We were lucky to attend #4, and have to say it was one of the best trips we’ve ever taken with ArcticStartup – lots of good people, interesting program, and it’s an excuse to see the coworking space’s nightclub in full swing. It’s short notice, the event is taking place next Monday the 14th, but you can make it happen.

MESH is an amazing space, offering 2500 m2 of startup buzz, including a coffee shop, bar, and nightclub with a retractable roof. Their maker loft is the newest addition to their space, which includes a photo studio, sewing machines, electronic gadgets and more.

The focus for this event is the maker movement, likely spurred on by the opening of their own Maker Space. At the event, they’ll have names like Even Westwang of Bengler, Jay Cousins of Open Design City, Kim Daniel Arthur of Playfish, and Cecilie Vanem of Dipper speaking, among others.

On the second floor, they’ll have a Startup Village with 25 companies showing off their wares, sponsored by FundedByMe and Northzone.

The tickets for the event are free of charge, so pick one up if you’re seriously considering attending. When it comes to startup circles Oslo is just starting to get on the map, so I recommend you to get into the scene early. Good things are really starting to happen there.
