Stockholmer fintech FinFollow has closed its a pre-seed round at €758K (MSEK 8.25). FinFollow is the first in Sweden to offer a completely bank-independent service, where small savers can follow each other’s share portfolios in real time. The round saw participation from investors that include Christoffer Rutgersson (CEO at Qliro, former co-founder of Bambora), Hanna Arthur (Legal Director at Brite), Linus Englund (co-founder of Sambla), Johan Roslund (Financial profile, former GP Bullhound and chairman of Unga Aktiespararna), Björn Ivroth (former CEO at EVRY), the twitter and podcast profile Phukettrader and a consortium of investors like Arash Sundin Alidoost (CMO at Scrive and board member at Byggfakta). Christoffer Rutgersson and Hanna Arthur take their place on the board as board members. The startup will use the funding to develop its product and launch it in Sweden.

“In addition to the purely financial, we also bring in investors with valuable experience from running start-ups / scale-ups as well as strategically important competence in several important areas for us, which we have valued highly in this round. We are very happy to have Christoffer and Hanna on the board, who with their deep knowledge in fintech will help us develop both faster and better.” says Carl Meiton, CEO at FinFollow.

FinFollow was founded in 2022 by Carl Meiton, Christer Wikman and Martin Jägerstad to democratize trading and investment knowledge via social trading. The platform enables everyone to conveniently share investments and learn from each other. One can get direct insight to other people’s real investments and notifications when there’s any activity.

“FinFollow has a very competent founding team that I have had the privilege of working with in the past. Social trading is here to stay and there is huge potential. Just as the way we pay has undergone a radical change in the last ten years, we will see a similar evolution in the field of investment over the next ten years. FinFollow will take the lead in this area and I look forward to supporting the team going forward.” says Christoffer Rutgersson, board member of FinFollow and CEO of Qliro.
