Female Founders driving gender diversity in tech and innovation across Europe has announced its a €20M VC fund focused on early stage startups with at least one female co-founder. Fund F will invest in 25-30 early stage startups from various areas such as climatetech, femtech, healthtech, fintech, insurtech and HR tech that will create an impact and address a huge market with their businesses.
Female Founders was founded by Lisa-Marie Fassl and Nina Wöss in Vienna in 2016 to create equal opportunities for entrepreneurial women in the European tech and innovation ecosystem. With Fund F, the firm will be supporting pre-seed & seed stage startups founded and based anywhere in Europe with first traction and digital and scalable business models.
“Over the last six years building Female Founders, we have had touchpoints with hundreds of tech entrepreneurs from all over the continent. By working with them and supporting them in their fundraising efforts we have come to the conclusion that more diversity is needed on both sides – founders and investors. Money talks, and the people deciding where investments are being allocated need to be diverse as well,” says Lisa-Marie Fassl, General Partner at Fund F.
