Let’s bridge the gap!
In most cases, innovation is the result of a joint effort of many different actors. We are talking about companies working together with public administrations, startups spinning out of academia, policy makers simplifying capital investing, and so on. It is important to remember that these connections rarely are pre-made and set in stone.
This is THE GAP that we want to bridge.
We need to create pathways and relations to connect all these different parts of the innovation ecosystem so that we can innovate even more, while continuously nurturing and learning from the relations that already exist and innovate.
Trondheim Tech Port is striving towards being a world class innovation district for a sustainable future. What better way to achieve this than by exploring, showcasing and challenging sustainable innovation within the technological areas that Norway excels in?! Health, ocean, and energy!
Within these three thematic areas we will showcase sustainable technologies, projects and collaborations. We will also discuss how to bridge the gap while also addressing bottlenecks and challenges connected to investing. These are all topics that we need to discuss and solve if we want to increase Norway’s innovation output.

Alongside our fantastic stage sessions which will occur throughout the day we have a unique offering which will showcase cutting edge research, leading innovations and provide opportunities to engage with experts, network and even seek professional advice.
Firstly, our Conference EXPO will include a number of start-ups and innovation projects which will showcase their research, innovations and technology. Along with providing opportunities to engage with innovators you will witness eye-catching demos and interact with some of the latest innovations from this part of the world!
11:00 – 18:00 | EXPO Area
Rarely has a start-up or innovator made it all the way to the top by themselves. In an innovation system there are multiple actors working to ensure new business ideas and inventions reach their full potential. Trondheim Tech Port wants to acknowledge these actors and make them easily available for those interested in pursuing their own innovation project or unleashing their inner entrepreneur.
At the centre of our EXPO, representatives from different types of start-up support mechanisms and services will be available in what we have coined as the ‘Innovation Helpdesk’. The services you can engage with are “the go to experts” so whether it’s learning how to develop your product, confirming your market potential, reaching investors or ensuring you are rigged to handle employees as you scale your business we have you covered!
The Innovation Helpdesk is the first line of support for first time entrepreneurs and innovators, but it’s also available for serial entrepreneurs and well established companies!
