European Investment Bank has announced its support for five Finnish companies, giving 60.5 million euros worth of loans as part of ‘InnovFin – EU Finance for Innovators’ programme, with the financial backing of the European Union under Horizon 2020 Financial Instruments, to Enevo, Frosmo, Canatu, AW-Energy and Mobidiag.
“Finland has long been one of the innovation leaders in the EU and the EIB is proud to continue its support for Finnish industries.Thanks to InnovFin, the European institutions can really make a difference, by being able to back to ground-breaking and promising innovative developments in different sectors,” says Vice-President Jan Vapaavuori, responsible for EIB operations in the Nordic countries.
Enevo and Mobidiag will receive €15m each, while Canatu, AW-Energy and Frosmo will be financed with €12m, €10m, €8.5m respectively.
