Estonia’s Grünfin, a sustainable investment platform created by a team of mostly early Transferwise employees, opened a waitlist on April 22 as it prepares for launch later this year.

Grünfin was founded by two mothers, Karin Nemec and Triin Hertmann, who saw how difficult it was for anyone to create a sustainable, values-based investment portfolio without expert knowledge in sustainable investing or huge funds at their disposal.

Investing can be one of the most impactful things you can do to change the world for the better. That’s why Grünfin is trying to give access to sustainable investing to as many people as possible.”

Grünfin said it will allow customers to invest in their child’s or their own future while contributing to a better world via their investment choices.

Following the trend of values-based investing, the platform will enable customers to choose between an environmental, equality or health-themed investment portfolio.

Grünfin plans to launch Europe-wide this summer.
