BroadBit Batteries, a technology company from Finland that specializes on designing and producing more eco-friendly batteries, has recently won the EIC Accelerator award. Now the company is going to get a grant of 2.5M€ as a support for their future projects.
With a budget of €10.1 billion, European Innovation Council aims to support innovative businesses that develop groundbreaking technologies in various fields. EIC Accelerator programme is particularly focused on small and medium-sized businesses through the development process as well as during scaling up.
A promising technology company with a focus on developing more environmentally friendly batteries, BroadBit has won the EIC Accelerator award from the European Innovation Council and Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises. Consequently, the company has secured a grant of 2.5M€. Moreover they may also gain access to 8M€ worth of 3rd party funds.

The grant that BroadBit Batteries is getting will mainly be used on the commercialization of their Sodium-Salt batteries that the CEO of the company, David Brown, considers to be a game changer for their future success. According to him, the funding will let them quickly complete the R&D process, scale production for their first applications and get to market fast. David Brown also added:
