While the investment amount was not disclosed, the money will allow Cylindo to increase its growth pace. Some of the money will be used to expand the development team in Copenhagen. Right now the company is looking for a number of talented developers there.
Cylindo that has been self-financed up until now has also invited three strong Danish entrepreneurs to the company’s advisory board. The most prominent name in the board is David Helgason, co-founder and CEO of Unity Technologies. Danish CCO in TradeShift, Christian Hjort, and the founder of social networking service Memo Lane, Eric Lagier, are also going to be on the advisory board.
Financial resources from the US and international angels that also have experience in the furniture industry combined with a great team give Cylindo capacity to change global furniture business. Company’s current customers include American furniture chains, Turnstone and Steelcase, as well as Danish furniture chain Bolia.
