CanvasDropr: Share And Collaborate On A Rich Media Canvas

CanvasDropr is a new collaborative media-sharing platform from Denmark. Instead of emailing or uploading your images and videos to different social media platforms, you can drag them onto a fully editable blank canvas and let your family, friends and colleagues join in on the fun.

The platform basically allows you to share the creative process with others. Each canvas can have an unlimited number of users who can all add/edit content and comment on it in real-time. All users see the changes and additions simultaneously. CanvasDropr is free to use and currently only available through the browser, but applications for Facebook, Android and iOS are on their way.

The startup also plans to offer businesses tailor-made versions of the platform which can be enhanced with additional features such as drawing, more advanced text/image editing and web conferencing.

Launched in June 2011 by Catherine W. Andersen and Christian Rasmussen, CanvasDropr is off to a fast start. The company has already received some initial angel investor backing and recently hired extra firepower to its marketing and software development departments. The CanvasDropr team currently works out of Founders House, the Copenhagen based workspace for tech startups.

Below is a quick video explaining the philosophy behind CanvasDropr.
