Avaus buys Swedish rival Actionbase

Finnish Avaus Marketing Innovations has agreed to buy Swedish analytics and data consultancy firm Actionbase, expanding its operations in larger Swedish market and strengthening its position in the Nordic data-driven marketing business.

Avaus offering includes a combination of analytics, marketing technologies, content development, strategies, digital media and growth hacking. The deal will increase Avaus’ Swedish staff to 40, and group staff to 150 employees. It expects 2016 sales to total 13 million euros.

“Artificial intelligence is the next major trend in marketing. By integrating the data and analytics consultancy of Actionbase into Avaus, we will be better able to help our clients rethink their marketing and improve their results,” said Tom Nickels, Managing Partner at Avaus.

Actionbase specialises in data management, analytics and customer relationship strategies. The company has offices in Stockholm and Gothenburg. It has clients in all Nordic countries.
