Latvian Files.fm brings total capital to €1 million

Businessmen from Latvian business angel network have become investors and business partners of Files.fm.

Files.fm provides fast, secure and convenient data storage and file sharing solutions for business or private users. The company currently operates in English as Files.fm and in Latvian as Failiem.lv. At the moment the service has 150,000 registered users and over 700,000 visits monthly. 2/3 of their users come from Latvia and 1/3 from the rest of the world.

I am glad it is getting more common for Latvians with cash and business experience to invest in new products with export potential. We at LatBAN see that every such example encourages others to consider this alternative.

The team plans to use the new investment to develop their server leasing service and Filebox – a service that lets companies integrate file-sharing into your webpage. Their press release also stresses export potential, so we would expect more active expansion in the nearest future.

We are glad to work with experienced entrepreneurs as our investors and business partners. This round will let us grow faster not only at home, but also internationally.

Latvian business angel network unites over 40 private investors and holds monthly pitch sessions. All projects from August pitch session are in negotiations with potential investors. Applications for September pitch session are open till Aug 31 here.
