Finnish game developer partners with skateboarding media TransWorld SKATEboarding and lifestyle retailers, Active Ride Shop and SkateDeluxe, to provide clothes and accessories with in-game prizing.
ArcticPlay Studios‘ ‘free to play forever’ debut title Hoodrip Skateboarding is now available globally for iOS and Android. The game introduces a completely new business model in mobile gaming by allowing players to win real, brand name lifestyle gear from retailers as well as access the stores’ online web shops to purchase items seen in-game.

Hoodrip Skateboarding, created in cooperation with world’s largest skateboarding media TransWorld SKATEboarding, introduces players to 30 of Brooklyn’s most legendary skate spots decorated with street art from popular graffiti artists. While working to master endless combinations of skateboarding tricks, the player can customize their avatar’s look with clothes, decks, grip, wheels and trucks selected from the in-game catalogue.
In addition to styling, the game also includes individual and team challenges through which players can earn in-game cash, win real-world items featured in the game, and of course get street credibility from the community.
