It’s been quite a while since our previous event in Helsinki and we believe it’s time to get the startup community together again. The next ArcticEvening Helsinki will be held on the 4th of November from 6pm to 10pm at Korjaamo. The event happens to coincide with TEDxHelsinki, but that’s a day event so make sure you continue the inspirational talks into the evening as well.
So what do we have lined up for you this time? We’ve managed to reserve two very interesting speakers, from slightly different stages of the company lifecycle. However, both of them have the potential to make it very big. These will be talks by the company founders and their experiences in bringing up the companies to where they are currently.
The first speaker will be Applifier’s Jussi Laakkonen. We recently covered Applifier in Mindtrek, making substantial revenues and also winning the main prize in the Startup Launchpad. Jussi Laakkonen will come and tell the story of Applifier from a founder’s perspective – what were the steps that were taken to get to 55 million users on Facebook.
The second speaker is also one, that has received quite a bit of visibility after closing one million US dollars from Inventure and Lifeline Ventures – Thinglink’s Ulla-Maaria Engeström. Ulla-Maaria will be talking about the paths they’ve taken as a company and how their new pivot into the image world is building traction.
We will be holding the event in Korjaamo at Töölönkatu 51, Helsinki. Doors will open at 6pm and we’ll be starting the event straight after so, make sure you’re there early.
Tickets will become available this Thursday (21st of October) at noon sharp (GMT+3, ie. Finnish/Estonian time). They’ll become available in a separate post, so do check back to book your free ticket to the event.
How on earth are we able to continuously provide free tickets to these fantastic events? It’s all thanks to our sponsors, who care about the startup community – take a minute to check out their messages below.
